THE ROLE
XVIVO is in a rapid growth phase, including both geographical expansion and the development and launch of new products and supporting processes. We are today selling or placing a large number of devices around the world and further extending our offering brings additional complexity to our supply chain. XVIVO’s products are largely manufactured externally. The challenge for Operations is to scale-up the production capacity to allow for a global launch of an all-organ product portfolio. As our new COO and head of Operations, you’ll be instrumental in in driving this transformation journey.
The COO reports to the President and CEO and is a key member of XVIVO’s Top Management Team. The position will be based at the company’s head office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Operations employs 15 people based in Europe and the US. Scope includes Contract Manufacturing, Warehouse distribution, Supply chain/Sourcing and a small internal Production unit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead the multinational operations team, providing strategic and practical leadership; developing relevant organizational structures to reach business goals
- In a cross-functional business environment, drive global transformation projects such as major upscaling of supply chain, supplier consolidation and cost optimizations
- Manage suppliers and 3rd party service providers incl. identification, selection, performance measurement and risk management
- Responsible for overall spend to agreed budget expenditure objectives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of production processes, procurement, supplier management, negotiations, and contract management.
- Global Supply Chain or Operations experience, preferably from medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience of outsourcing manufacturing operations, setting up third party production and negotiating with suppliers
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Fluent in English
