Dafo Vehicle is looking for a Key Account- and Business Manager!

We have three main business areas:
Integration – Integration of fire protection systems into the OEM production line
Retrofitting – Fire extinguishing systems installed at the end customer
Service and maintenance
Under the current strategy, the company is primarily active in four business areas: Bus/Coach, Mining & Construction, Ports, and Forestry & Agriculture.
Dafo Vehicle presently has service operations in 35 countries; more than 110 colleagues located around the world. The headquarters and the main production unit are situated in the Stockholm Metropolitan Area south. The business has a global sales and service presence coupled with three production facilities located in Finland, Asia, and the US. Dafo Vehicle has delivered high profitability over the past several years, and is now well-positioned to take advantage of a growing global market within many of its core segments, as well as interesting possibilities for acquisition of distributors.
To strengthen our position in the Material Handling segment, we are now looking for a Key Account- and Business Manager to join our international team. Preferred location is Central Europe, but we are flexible – other base locations include Stockholm, Paris, Tallinn, or Helsinki.
About the role
As Key Account Manager, you’ll join a specialized team working closely with OEM customers. Your role is to build and nurture strong partnerships, negotiate framework agreements, participate in procurement processes, and help develop existing products and services based on customer needs. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure long-term, value-driven collaboration.
As Business Manager, you will explore and pursue new opportunities with OEMs, port operators, and distributors. You’ll travel internationally – approximately 100 days per year – with a focus on the EMEA region. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of our Material Handling segment. You’ll report to the Business Line Manager for Material Handling and be based preferably in either Stockholm, Paris, Tallin or Helsinki with hybrid working opportunities.
Your profile
We are looking for a driven and self-sufficient professional with documented experience in complex B2B sales, preferably in a Key Account Manager role. You have strong negotiation skills, a high ethical standard, and a strategic mindset. Experience from industries such as automotive, heavy machinery, powertrain, or fire safety is a plus. What sets you apart is your GRIT – your perseverance, proactive attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile. You are structured and analytical, skilled at building trust and navigating different organizational levels. Your ability to follow up, manage processes, and uncover business potential is essential for success in this role.
You enjoy combining office work with field visits and are comfortable adapting to different cultures and business environments. You have a genuine interest in technical solutions and are confident discussing them with both engineers and decision-makers. A university degree in engineering or business administration is expected, along with the ability to read and interpret commercial documents and agreements. A driver’s license is required. Written and spoken English is essential, regardless of location. Fluency in the local language is required.
Depending on where the position is based, proficiency in Swedish and/or Finnish may also be required. If the candidate is located in Central Europe, Swedish and Finnish are not mandatory. Additional languages such as German, French, Spanish and Arabic are considered highly meritorious.
